BJJ Intermediate

Once the beginner student has attended 30 classes, they will be awarded the first stripe on their belt. In BJJ Intermediate classes the student will progress through Ground Controls curriculum learning how to apply the BJJ that they have been learning.


In BJJ Intermediate the student will apply what they are learning by live drilling, situational sparring, and live sparring. The process of learning to apply their Jiu-Jitsu will allow them to see what is working and refine their game under the instruction of a Ground Control blackbelt. The act of sparing allows students the opportunity to test what they have learned against other students withing the Ground Control family.


If the student desires, ample opportunities will arise for BJJ Intermediate students to also test their skills against students from other academies in local, regional, and national tournaments.

We Provide a Fun, Safe and Friendly Environment for All Fitness and Experience Levels. Our BJJ Intermediate lessons are tough and thorough. You will be training with the best. Our gym is open to anyone who wishes to join. Be forewarned; the training you will receive is for fitness as well as BJJ Intermediate. Whether you wish to just do this for fitness or you wish to become a professional. Ground Control is here to help you.
