BJJ Fundamentals

To be a top-level practitioner the student must start by gaining a solid foundation in the core techniques of Jiu-Jitsu. Learning the proper fundamental techniques of BJJ is critical. BJJ’s fundamental techniques must be learned and repetitively practiced through drilled until they are second nature.

 

The BJJ Fundamentals classes start with warmups and drills that consist of the foundational movements that are the basis of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The students learn the basic movements, positions, and base of BJJ. In practically all scenarios, the foundational movements will be used to either create or close distance between you and your opponent. As students progress through the curriculum, they will begin to learn basic control, submission, take-down, and defensive techniques.

 

Our BJJ Fundamentals group allows beginners with no experience to learn and solidify the fundamentals that will allow them to move to the next level of learning. As BJJ Fundamentals students progress, they will earn their stripes and become qualified to participate in rolling with the other students

We Provide a Fun, Safe and Friendly Environment for All Fitness and Experience Levels. Our BJJ Fundamentals lessons are tough and thorough. You will be training with the best. Our gym is open to anyone who wishes to join. Be forewarned; the training you will receive is for fitness as well as BJJ Fundamentals. Whether you wish to just do this for fitness or you wish to become a professional. Ground Control is here to help you.
